House: Sun 2nd

You have a way of reaching into yourself and finding hidden traits that others, and you, didn’t know were there. These are your instinctive characteristics , the things that make you tick over on a very fundamental level. Think of them as your assets, as those magical qualities which enhance your creative gifts, and come to your rescue in times of crisis. Speaking of instinct, it is no secret that your approach to life generally is a subjective one, that is you usually find it difficult, but not impossible, to see life from any other perspective but your own. This can make you possessive for, in identifying so strongly with that which is ‘yours’, you can come to consider what you instinctively feel for to be yours by right. You can react strongly to anyone you feel is invading your territory.

The second house is the house of values and possessions. Having the sun here suggests you’ll never have to struggle too hard to become financially secure in life. However, on a psychological level the second house represents the values of self; your self worth. If you under-value yourself, if you don’t receive the recognition you deserve, you can undermine the principle of the Sun (self expression)… If you don’t place a high value on the person you see in the mirror the other, more material values of life can also loose their significance. Values shift and progress with maturity when the sun’s in the second; different events and life experiences change your focus of what is valuable to you.
