House: Moon 9th

You derive a lot of comfort and emotional support from issues which offer an uplifting outlook to the general human malaise: that is, issues like religion, and philosophies which contain an ingredient of hope. It’s important for you to feel that there is a meaning to all this confusion and chaos, and you like to believe that a good part of that meaning carries an optimistic message. You look for these qualities, too, in your personal relationships, for it is difficult for you to feel emotionally responsive towards someone who sees only the negative or, worse still, has no vision at all. Nevertheless, you are subject to changeable moods, you yourself sometimes being way up in the clouds one minute and down in the depths the next. In your case, and contrary to the usual saying, it’s more a matter of what goes down must go up for, despite your occasional plummets, up is where you inevitably gravitate towards.

The ninth house is the house of the higher mind and the education of it. Regardless of whether you pursued higher education through the traditional means or not, you will throughout your life be drawn to new ideas and ways of thinking. Understanding life from ever expanding perceptions, allowing you more scope and vision to understand how the world ‘works’, gives you a greater sense of emotional stability. However, too much understanding, without a solid mental framework can lead to confusion and emotional instability. This frame work will eventually become your religion from which you will base all your new understanding; a religion in the sense of a world-view rather than the more traditional sense of the word.
